Dryer Vent Cleaning and Code Upgrade Required before July 31

2026 is a required dryer‑vent cleaning year for all owners. This year also includes a mandatory safety upgrade. When our insurance company inspected units this fall, they called out that all units must use a rigid or semi‑rigid metal dryer transition duct (the short connector between the dryer and the wall). Foil or plastic connectors are not permitted because they trap lint, tear easily, and significantly increase fire risk. Our insurance carrier has given us a few months to adhere to this fire safety code. Without correction, our already high insurance rates will increase, and we may be in jeopardy of losing our coverage.

 

Because this is a code and fire‑safety upgrade, all owners are required to use All Pro Air Duct Cleaning on Butterfield Road in Warrenville for both the dryer‑vent cleaning and the potentially needed transition‑duct replacement.

 

What Owners Must Do

Call All Pro in Warrenville at 630‑463‑2956 to schedule your appointment Monday through Saturday on one of dates listed below. Be sure to mention that you are with the Golf Villas.

 

• April 13 - 18

• May 11 - 16

• June 7 - 13

 

All Pro will clean your dryer vent at an Association negotiated rate and replace your transition duct if necessary; cost to the owner will vary based on the length needed. All Pro will submit the receipt and insurance required photos to the Association. Please retain a copy for your records.

 

All units must complete the dryer‑vent cleaning and any required transition‑duct replacement by July 31, 2026. This earlier‑than‑usual deadline reflects the elevated safety risk and insurance requirements. Direct questions to golfvillaswe@gmail.com.

ADS Strobe Check

The outside strobe light quickly directs White Eagle security or the fire department to the individual unit where the alarm detection system has activated. It is up to the homeowner to have the strobe light checked by ADS every two years.

 

The cost to the homeowner is $75 for the strobe check. Any needed repairs are the homeowner's responsibility. Call ADS at 630-844-6314 to schedule or email service@adsalarm.com. Golf Villas requires all strobes to be checked and receipt submitted by October 31, 2026.

Submit Receipts​

All Pro and ADS will be compiling and submitting the receipts for the dryer vent cleaning and strobe light check. Please retain a copy for your records. Requested receipts should be emailed to golfvillaswe@gmail.com.
